Plucker Users
| If you're a new Plucker user or a seasoned computer user who is new to the Plucker project, WELCOME! Plucker has been around since 1998, in the creative hands of Mark Lillywhite and some very curious users at the time (Mike, Andrew and myself). Plucker now has a userbase of several hundred-thousand users, who use Plucker every day on their Palm, Windows Mobile, Pocket PC, and Linux-based handheld or desktop devices. If you want to get started right away, download the latest release for your operating system (currently Windows, Linux and Apple OS X are supported platforms).
To use Plucker, you'll need some basic tools and then a basic understanding of how Plucker works. If you run into trouble, don't forget to read the Frequently Asked Questions to see if your question has been answered before.
We also have a few healthy mailing lists that you can subscribe to if you want to contribute a new idea, talk to other Plucker users and developers, or just learn how to use Plucker better.
We also have a lot of sample documents in Plucker format that you can download and install on your device to see how it works. You can also visit the screenshot gallery to see what Plucker looks like on various devices.
On top of all of that, there is also the Plucker Workshop where you can see some very current projects that one of our contributors is personally working on with Plucker. Some of them are amazing projects. Check it out!
