Version 0.3 alpha of Vade Mecum is now available.
Vade Mecum is a Plucker document reader for the Pocket PC. It does *not* support the new features of Plucker 1.4, but when finished should be completely compliant with Plucker 1.2.
Version 0.3 fixes various bugs, and adds the following new features:
- document categories
- filter the library list by document category
- delete documents via the library interface
- an alternative progress meter, drawn as a single line on one side of the screen, which indicates how much of the current page has been read
- exit Vade Mecum directly from the reader interface, and return again to where you left off
- quickly toggle the toolbar on/off by tapping a "hot-spot" on the screen
Some of the more significant bug fixes include:
- the colorpicker now works correctly
- ebooks stored on an SD card no longer pose a risk of data loss
- viewing pages with more than 5 images no longer crash the reader
Features that are not yet implemented:
- Searching
- Highlight browser
Version 0.3 also sports an installer. Download the ".exe" installer and run it on your PC to install Vade Mecum to your device. Or, download the CAB file, copy it to your device, and run it from your device to install the reader.
Grab it at http://vade-mecum.sf.net.
Enjoy!
