JPluck, Java-based Plucker document creation

JPluck is Java-based toolkit for creating Plucker documents. It
includes the JPluck X GUI for managing and downloading documents.
JPluck requires Java 1.4 or higher to run. It has been tested on
Windows and Linux. (Java 1.4 for Mac OS X will be released in the
future, so Mac users will have to be patient or try running it with
the JDK 1.4.1 developer preview.)

Note that JPluck is new effort not based on the existing Plucker
toolset. You only need a working Java 1.4 Runtime Environment and
the JPluck package to get started. I know that many people do not
have the latest Java installed, but I think it's worth downloading
it, even if it is only for JPluck. The Java installation is a
fairly big download at 8Mb, but I made an effort to keep the JPluck
distribution as small as possible. Currently it's less than 900Kb.

JPluck is free, open-source software released under the GNU General
Public License. It is under active development. At the time of this
writing beta 3 has just been released.

Feedback is much appreciated (see the e-mail address on the web
site). Documentation is a little sparse at the moment but there's a
Getting Started guide on the site to help you out.
