Opie-Reader Plucker e-text reader for Sharp Zaurus devices
View this article as: [ xml / txt ]
Opie-Reader is an e-text reader for the Sharp Zaurus (both stock, Crow and OpenZaurus ROMs) and for iPaqs (providing you install linux and OPIE on the iPaq) which understands a wide variety of formats (Doc, zTxt, (a few others of lesser interest which even I've forgotten) but most importantly, Plucker).
Plucker support is fairly complete now with the only exceptions being support for Owner ID and full justification (the stable version currently has a few extra, but still minor, omissions).
Current versions for the Zaurus with the Sharp and Crow ROMs are available from my web-site: www.timwentford.uklinux.net. Older versions for OpenZaurus/OPIE are in the standard feeds.
Current versions for OpenZaurus/OPIE will be put up at my site soon (latest version of Opie had some incompatibilites and the fixes aren't yet in the stable branch), but if you can't find them there when you look, contact me at timwentford@hotmail.com (including the text "reader" somewhere in the subject, else my spam filter is gonna getcha) and I'll send you the latest unstable version.
